Welcome to the ‘SPIRIT OF BROOKLANDS', the birthplace of British Motorsport and Aviation. 
The Museum is open
throughout the year, 7 days a week and Bank Holidays from 10 am to 4 pm in Winter, and 5pm in Summer.   Current projects include re-assembling Concorde G-BBDG, and there are regular events involving vintage and classic vehicles and aircraft events.
The Build-a-Plane Project has been registered G-TSOB, The Spirit Of Brooklands, in honour of your support and encouragement.

The initials stand for

The Light Aircraft Association Educational Trust (LAAET) is the charitable arm of the LAA. The LAAET is a new Charitable company set up to ‘advance the education of the public in aviation, in particular the design and construction of aircraft, aircraft systems and the operation of aircraft’.  It is a major source of funding for Youth & Education Support which promotes Youth Aviation in the UK.

Air Cadets
, aged 13 to 20, and their supporting staff get the opportunity to participate in a large range of stimulating and rewarding activities, including learning to fly aerobatics, visiting Royal Air Force Stations, touring foreign countries, and doing numerous sporting and adventurous pursuits.  The Annual PFA Flying event would be very difficult to run without the ATC cadets helping out from marshalling aircraft to controlling the visitors.  Much of the Project Plane was assembled by ATC Cadets.

The Scout Association
is active in more than 216 countries and territories with more than 28 million members worldwide.  Each day 100,000 people in the UK take part in Scouting activities including abseiling, canoeing, archery, caving, climbing and karting, all relatively inexpensively.  Almost 10% of members in the UK are girls and young women.  Manchester Scouts helped build the fuselage of the 'Spirit of Brooklands' plane.
